Heritage Tapestry within Lockdown

Tapestry kits and NHS support

The last Heritage Tapestry workshop was a brief drop-in event on Saturday 21st March, so people could return completed kits and take away more kits to keep themselves busy during the anticipated lockdown.

So the kits are still being worked on. Also, people have been applying their sewing and knitting skills towards supporting the work to combat coronavirus. NHS scrubs, laundry bags and headscarves have been produced. Also knitted NHS poppies and rosettes for sale, with proceeds going to the NHS.

Thanks everyone for this NHS support and for continuing to create the tapestry during lockdown.
