Funding is naturally an essential and vital ingredient! Rochford Town Team had previously been awarded a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, so this was again the first port of call.
The Town Team formed a project working group to oversee the bid and fortunately we were successful.
We also needed a venue to host the workshops for making the tapestry. The Estuary Elim Church Group kindly offered the use of their premises and also agreed to help fund this Community Project.
