Another busy day at the Old House with around 40 people enjoying guided tours of the Old House and around some of Historic Rochford. In-costume guides took people back in time with stories of old Rochford.
The Old House provides a fantastic venue to host these tours, with one of the rooms set out with displays by Rochford Town Team and the Rochford Hundred Historical Society, as well as the RDC video of the Old House restoration project.
The main photo shows one of the tour groups standing outside King's Hill next to the Whispering Post.
Look out for details about the next event, which is on Tuesday 19th June.
A few of the many comments are below:

"Informative & fun - splendid!"
"Enjoyed excellent tour around the Old House in Rochford this morning. Really interesting to see the history and what a fabulous restoration they did on it. Then we took the one hour walking tour around the town with two very interesting guides - again fascinating history and learned a lot about the town, its buildings and people. Recommend both tours."Back to Memory Lane
