Dr. Joseph Jackson, an apothecary, lived in Sydenham House in the 1700s

An ancestor of Sheelagh Cooper, Dr. Joseph Jackson (c1712-1798), an apothecary, lived in Sydenham House in Rochford in the mid to late 18th century. From Sheelagh's research, she believes the house was built about 1737, the same time as The Manse, also in South Street.

These images are notes made in 1938 by an earlier descendant of Joseph Jackson.
